Welcome to Sketchbok Vol 2. - The digital era.
As a traditional pencil artist I was against digital drawing with every fibre of my being and then I became a mum. For years my dad relentlessly tried to convince me to pick up that apple pencil and I’m so glad I did. At first I had no idea what I was doing but after experimenting and watching videos online I actually feel quite at home now. Not to mention that I can draw absolutely anytime and anywhere on the iPad while keeping one eye on my Son. My advice to any fellow artist/mum out there hesitant to go digital, please just do it! You may take time to adjust, but you won’t regret it.
The only thing I missed a lot was my sketchbook, but I actually found a way to start a new digital one. It’s closer to ‘scrapbooking’ where I would use markers and tapes, photos and ideas. Going digital it’s actually easier, I can download anything and use any tool I want. Below you will find the first few pages of my most recent projects. On the left in the menu you can find my first Sketchbook in comparison. Enjoy both!
